The Day The World Came To Town: 9/11 in Gander, Newfoundland by Jim DeFede. A small town responds to the emergency surrounding the forced grounding of 38 jetliners on September 11. During the following 4 days the town’s population grew from 10, 300 to 17,000. Please pick up your book at the circulation desk. R
