The library will close at 6pm Wednesday, November 27th, and remain closed all day Thursday, November 28th, in observance of Thanksgiving. Normal operating hours will resume on Friday, November 29th.

Enjoy an interactive musical presentation featuring Ukrainian and Jewish songs by Cantor Pavel Roytman and Chicago based Ukrainain singer-song writer Sofi Fraser. This program is part of the Chicago YIVO Society Summer Festival of Yiddish Culture. 

The mission of Chicago YIVO is to entertain and educate the local community through subsidized lectures, music programs, and film screenings that reflect the rich heritage and diversity of Jewish culture and to ensure the future of Yiddish through language education.
