PLEIN AIR PAINT OUT

Event Details

We are bringing together artists with a variety of experience in a battle of the brushes to see who can best capture the Prospect Heights Public Library and its surrounding landscape.  Working in their own mediums, using their own supplies, they must create a spectacular rendition of the Library and the landscape in front of them, in 4 hours.

First Prize: will be $200 awarded at the end of the 4 hours.

The artists chosen for the Paint Out will have their final works displayed in our café area for the month of August to be judged by the library patrons for the People’s Choice Award.

Patrons are encouraged to come to the library and view the artists as they work on their masterpieces from 11 am to 3 pm. Rain date is August 31.
