Event Details
Vocalist/guitarist Pat Gaughan and fiddler Nancy Maio take us on a musical journey to the 60s and 70s when women folk musicians were at the forefront of American culture: the singer-songwriters and the interpreters of traditional ballads, blues and spirituals. Social justice, civil rights, peace movements, and feminism were the subject matter for the songs of Joni Mitchell, Mary Travers, Joan Baez, and Judy Collins. This musical program captures the spirit of an era that inspires us today and pays homage to iconic female musicians during Women's History Month.
