Asian Tales and Travels

Anne begins by telling some Japanese folk tales. She continues with a show a slide show with photographs of my trips to Japan in 2017 and 2019, including Tokyo, Osaka, Hiroshima, Kyoto, and Takayama. She will describe her time as a guest of the Japanese government when she told her family World War II story to three Tokyo high schools. She also shares  about the surprising discovery of long-lost family.  Finally Anne tells some Chinese folk tales and shows pictures of her 2010 trip to China with ten other storytellers. We visited Beijing, Datong, and Gengcun, an historic village with a 600-year tradition of storytelling.
