Graphic Design/Community Services Assistant
Prospect Heights Public Library District
Part Time 20-24 hrs/wk
Salary $15 per hour

Part-time position, 20-24 hours per week which includes one Sunday per month during the school year and nights and weekends as needed. Responsibilities include various print, graphic and desktop publishing projects, online data entry (blogs, social media, eNewsletters, website). Also responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, and hosting 3-4 programs each month, including our popular Reaching for the Heights concert series featuring young local performers. Other responsibilities as needed.

Job Requirements:
Requirements include a high school diploma, knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, organization, communication and interpersonal skills. Must be self-motivated, creative, and able to accept a challenge and find the best way to accomplish it. Experience in desktop publishing and Adobe software (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).

Information / Readers Advisory Assistant
Prospect Heights Public Library District
Part Time, 15 hr/wk
Salary TBD commensurate with qualifications
Serve at the Information Desk and help the public needing library related information and referrals to the proper department or person. Promote reading through effective readerís advisory, creative book displays, and the winter and summer reading programs. Help patrons find the information or books they need. Sign patrons up for programs. Act as a certified U.S. Passport Acceptance Agent.

Job Requirements: 2 years of experience in a customer service environment, public library experience preferred. Competency with computers and Microsoft Office. Must be personable!

Adult Services Assistant
Prospect Heights Public Library District

Are you fluent in Polish, Russian, Korean or Spanish? Do you enjoy working with a multilingual, multicultural community? We are looking for you!

We currently have a part time opening for someone to help select and maintain our current World Languages collection. We order materials in Polish, Russian, Korean and Spanish currently. We also want to continue to create programming for our multicultural community.

Job Requirements: 2 years of experience in a customer service environment, public library experience preferred. Competency with computers and Microsoft Office Must be personable!
